Hello! Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Angel Sipp and I am the proud owner of Fern and Fable Bookstore! I have half joked and half seriously said “Why don’t I just open a bookstore?!” Well, I truly asked myself that. We all have one life so why not try the thing! Here I am trying it and I am so excited to do that.

A little about me and my journey with reading. I actually struggled as a reader until about a year ago. Through school, I had so much required reading that I didn’t have the energy or desire to read for pleasure. Then when I did have the energy and desire, I was unsure what I even wanted to read. Then you add on that I have ADHD that has struggled for a long time to sit down and get into a groove of reading. What I found in my back and forth journey over the past year is the types of books I am interested in right now (fantasy, mystery, feel good stories, great character development), consistent reading (even if it is a few pages) is helpful for me, and how to set up my reading environment.

Here are my hopes for the Fern and Fable Bookstore. I hope to give others what I have gained from books, which is a way to relax, feelings of happiness, feelings of suspense, getting lost in the moment, time to enjoy stories, getting away from doom scrolling, and info dumping about all the cool books I am reading. I hope to create a space where we can come together as a community. I hope to make a safe space for people to come read, work on crafts, and just be present with the moment. I hope to create a beautiful space for my family and myself to be in. I hope to meet new people and learn about their life and interests.
